Kid bloggers
My 11 year old has suddenly become interested in having her own blog. I'm hesitant to let her do that. I'm just afraid that she will put too much personal info on it. I suppose I could act as the monitor for her--delete anything that I don't want published. But the other problem is...then I will have to share the computer! Seriously though, any opinions on this?

I think it will help her advance reading/writing skills. Let her go for it with the agreement that you'll be monitoring to be sure everything she writes is OK. Give her some guidelines about what is OK and what isn't (last name, city, school).
I think it would be interesting to see what's going on with her and could be a good bonding experience :)
I think it's a great idea! But with parental monitoring of course.
My 8 year old has a blog www.earthanimals.blogspot.com I look thru the comments before he does, and preview his posts to make sure he never puts his name, age, or location. So far, only grandma has commented!
