Baby birds

We have some baby birds on our porch. Some barn swallows built a nest up in the corner a few weeks back and today I saw a little baby peeking out. It was so cute! These swallows have built nests on our porch before, but they always fell down. It seems like they got too dry or something and just crumbled. The place where they build doesn't offer a lot of area to build on. Anyway, last year when one of the nests crumbled, we found little pieces of eggshell with the nest. So sad. The girls were very upset. So, needless to say, we are quite excited to have the babies up there. I hope the nest holds until they can fly, which should be in about 3 weeks. So, hold your breath and say a prayer!
